A clear place to start with AI, technology, and more efficient processes for your small business.
Find practical ways to simplify everyday work, make better use of your tools and see where AI could help. Burlington-based support, tailored to your team and budget.
Finding affordable support from someone who understands a small operation can be difficult. Advice needs to fit the realities of your business: limited time, tight budgets and a team already busy doing the work.
I have worked on that side of the table. I understand the small operational problems that build up, the established ways of working, and the different levels of confidence people have with technology. A useful improvement has to work for the people who will use it every day.
That is why I created this offering dedicated to small and medium businesses in Burlington, and Oakville, Ontario. I want more local owners to benefit from better processes, useful technology and AI.
We walk through your operation with you as the owner, operator or general manager, looking at how work moves through the team and where time or information gets lost.
I take the findings away and examine your priority workflows, existing tools and recurring bottlenecks. The focus is on manageable changes that fit your team and budget.
I investigate suitable process changes, AI tools and straightforward automation. We consider what you already own before recommending new software.
Prioritized recommendations, with indicative costs, estimated setup effort and a practical order to tackle them. You leave with a usable decision matrix.
We work through the options together, discuss the tradeoffs and answer your questions, so you know what is worth, where to start and how to actually implement it.
Further help is available if you want it, but you are under no obligation. Where needed, we can help with Hands-on implementation to execute the improvement projects identified
At an independent metal shop in Oakville, Ontario, we introduced a new, digital, and customer friendly process for walk-in clients to be able to supply their project sketches and get a custom quote in minutes vs days. The business was then able to improve the customer experience, their booking ratio, and maximized profit per project.
We sat down with the manager, walked through the operation and looked at where work was getting held up. One opportunity stood out: how a customer’s sketch became a job record and then a quote. We assessed the potential benefit against the effort needed and chose this as a practical first project, with a high expected return for a relatively small change. The priority came from understanding the work and the people doing it.
We digitized the intake of customer sketches, creating a usable record as each request arrived. We then partly automated filing and categorization by customer and project, making current and historical records easier to search and retrieve. Finally, we introduced an AI agent that uses those records to prepare a quote draft for a person to review. The aim is to support faster, better-informed pricing that considers the work involved and the profit available on each project.

I work with independently owned small and medium businesses in Burlington and Oakville, including workshops, small manufacturers, commercial cleaning companies and other service businesses. This review is designed for owners and managers who want practical improvements that fit their team, budget and day-to-day operation. You do not need to have an AI project or a particular software tool in mind.
The package covers the review, analysis and recommendations. Your action plan is designed to help you implement the improvements in-house, with clear priorities, practical steps, indicative costs and setup considerations. I also understand that time is limited in a small business. If you need someone to carry the work through, I can provide hands-on implementation as a separate engagement.
Only if they help make the work more efficient. Every review considers people, processes and systems together. I start with how work gets done, where it gets held up and what your team needs. Sometimes the answer is technology, including AI. Sometimes it is simply fewer steps, clearer responsibilities or a better use of your existing tools. Where new software is recommended, indicative costs are included in the plan; subscriptions are separate from the review fee.
